Luís Carmo Costa


Partner of neoturis, of note in his experience in this sector is work for the Portuguese Tourism Board, Ana – Aeroportos de Portugal S.A., Madeira Regional Tourism Board and for the Sonae, Cerebrus, Apollo and Teixeira Duarte groups.

The majority of his projects cover components such as market analysis (surroundings, supply and demand), definition of concepts, development and marketing strategies, economic-financial viability analyses and operational review. In addition to mainland Portugal and the Islands, he has undertaken projects in Brazil, Angola, Mozambique and several European countries.

He worked as a tourism consultant at Deloitte Consulting from 1994 to 1998 and from 1998 to 2001 he was revenue manager and market analyst at the Sheraton Lisboa Hotel & Towers, which allowed him to further his knowledge in the areas of commercial evaluation, and the financial and operational aspects of hotel management.

He holds a degree in Economy from the Faculty of Economy at the University of Porto and a Course in Hotel Management and Techniques from the Porto School of Hotel Management and Tourism. He completed a specialized course in contract negotiation for hotel management given by Cornell University.
